Valerie Altmann, MD


Northwell Health

Dr. Altmann is a faculty attending in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Northwell Health. She is an assistant professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University. She attended McGill Medical School. She sits on numerous hospital committees including the admissions committee for Hofstra Medical School. Dr. Altmann has received numerous awards for teaching medical students and residents, most recently she received the 2020 Teaching Award from the Association of Professors of Gynecology & Obstetrics.


Deborah Lief-Dienstag, MD


Lawrence, NY

Dr. Deborah Lief-Dienstag practices pediatrics in the Five Towns area of Long Island. She was formerly the Director of Pediatrics at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. Recently, she served on the medical liaison committees of Torah Academy for Girls in Far Rockaway and the Shulamith School for Girls in the Five Towns to advise on the schools’ response to the COVID epidemic. Dr. Dienstag is involved with a broad range of social, educational and charitable organizations, for which she has received numerous honors. She is a graduate of City College and received her medical decree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Michael Oppenheim, MD

Infectious Diseases

Northwell Health

Dr. Oppenheim received his MD degree from the Yale University School of Medicine, after which he completed residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is currently an Attending Physician in Infectious Diseases at North Shore University Hospital and an assistant Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. In addition, he serves as Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer for Northwell Health. In that role, he was heavily involved in the data analytical aspects of the Health System's emergency response to the COVID pandemic.
